There comes a time when your baby girl isn't a baby anymore. You've been though the play dates, the birthday parties, the sleepovers, the teams, the dormrooms, and you've fallen in love with all the friends. You've cheered their successes and cried with their tears. Now my daughter and her friends are college grads.
They are in the workforce, in graduate school, and yes...some are getting married!
So what does my daughter do when her friends announce that they are engaged?
"Hey, My Mom can do your flowers CHEAP!"
Hey, I've been a florist for decades. I couldn't wait to do flowers for my daughter's recitals and corsages for her Prom. Actually I nearly had a knock down drag out fight with her Prom date who insisted that he buy the corsage elsewhere! I began my at home business when she was in college and my younger daughter in High School, knowing that the timing was right.
I've driven these girls to Gymnastic practices and dances. I've taken them to McDonalds in the middle of the night and sang karaoke with them. I've cleaned up after them and decorated for them. THEY OWE ME! (Not really) LOL
Okay, I don't mind being pimped. I can't wait to lovingly create every single Bridal Bouquet. My anxiety level will be untenable as I strive to "make it perfect!" I'll undoubtedly get snarky to my husband. I will cry when everything is delivered.
I know this because I do it every time. Every Bride is my "borrowed daughter"!
Bring 'em on Madison.... Mom Donna will do their flowers INEXPENSIVELY!"
